Home boot camp work out
Ok, so here it is the home fit body bootcamp, weight loss work out!
As neither you nor I have been able to make it to boot camp over the last couple of days and this evening I lost my car in the snow on Warners end hill coming back from the town, Clare and I decided that there was no excuses for you not to work, out when we can tell you what to do and you can do it in your spare room or living room.
No excuses!
So here it is the Fit body “home” weight loss work out!
Fast Tube by Casper
Once you have completed the work out text Clare or I to let us know how it went. See you Wednesday at bootcamp I hope!

Here’s how eating regularly can help you to lose weight or stay in the best shape of your life
I hope that you are feeling awesome!
Did you know that regularly missing meals can scupper your weight loss results?
Most people think and the press would have you believe that weight loss is a simple process of calories in and calories out but this is simply not true. If it were half of my client base would never have called or emailed me or even looked for my services.
I know lots of people who miss meals to lose weight and others who miss meals due to busy schedules or bad planning. I know all of these people because they are trying to lose weight, but most are struggling and many are moving in the wrong direction.
But why?
Why are they putting on weight or at best staying stable?
This is a question that I’m asked by these people all the time?
I want to share with you the reasons why, why people starve themselves and missing meal only to find that the scales are not showing them what they want to see.
To explore why calorie restriction does not work we have to look at our position on the planet and our evolutionary path to it.
We are the most dominant species on the planet, we are number 1 the top of the food chain. To get to this point we have under gone millions of years of evolution. During this time our ancestors have been through some real hard times such as ice ages, droughts and famines. To allow us to survive the trials and tribulations that nature throws at us we have evolved mechanisms to help us to cope.
When it comes to a lack of food the body has the ability to reduce its metabolic rate which means it can reduce the amount of calories that it uses for the various functions that are required for you to survive.
Your body also looks to store food so that you have reserves in case the famine is going to be prolonged due to seasonal conditions or natural disasters.
Missing meals and or dramatically reducing your calorie consumption leads to your body thinking that food is scarce and that you are in a period of famine.
So it slows down your metabolism and stores the food that you eat for later.
The next problem that you are going to face on low calorie diets or he regular missing of meals is the resumption of your normal eating pattern.
It will take a couple of days for your body to realise that you are no longer in a state of famine and food is now readily available again. During this time your body is going to store everything that you consume, especially as your metabolism is slow and you do not need the extra calories that you are now consuming. You therefore pile the pounds back on often becoming heavier then you were to start with!
It’s important for you to eat 3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner to make sure that your metabolism is running well and you are supplying it with all the nutrients that it needs.
Over the next couple of posts I’m going to talk more about the problems of low calorie diets or missing meal and I’m going to give you strategies to overcome your problems with meals.
The regular problems that clients bring to me are;
- I don’t feel like breakfast in the morning / it makes me feel sick / I’m not hungry
- I don’t have time for meal X because Y
So, eat 3 meal a day!
And I’ll be back with some more pitfalls and solutions for you.
Committed to your success
Keith
Roger 54, Berkhamsted
At the age of 54, I came to realise that I was not invincible. I have been in the work place since I left school at 17 years old.
Years of drinking too much, working long hours and the stress of running my own business had left me in less than perfect health. I had a dodgy back, knee, shoulders and psoriatic arthritis in my wrists.
Keith puts a big focus on nutrition, I have been more and more aware over the last few years of the importance of nutrition and Keith fine tuned what I was doing identifying food that would aggravate my conditions and foods that support my suspect immune system.
1 year on my knees don’t give me any problems, the back is fine about 90% of the time. I’m stronger; less tired and have plenty of stamina.
Keith has not found a cure for my psoriatic arthritis but I have had about 80% improvement I can now hold and lift weights where before my wrists were too painful. I also personal train with Keith and his team and have been toning up and losing weight at well!
I would highly recommend Keith to you. You’ll find him empathetic, knowledgeable, motivational, inspiring and professional.
Good luck to you in your health and fitness endeavours
Annette 34, Tring
When I met Keith after email correspondence I was apprehensive as I was a size 18 who should be a 10 to 12. I thought that my weight was dangerous especially with a family history of high blood pressure, High cholesterol and heart disease.
Needless to say I feel much better losing just over two stone (14kg) and dropping from a size 18 to a size 12!! My headaches, stomach troubles, eczema and mood swings are much improved and I would never have dreamt that the energy levels I have now would have been possible! My self confidence and self esteem is much improved – I sometimes don’t recognise myself in the mirror! My relationship with my husband, family and friends has improved because I’m not being so grumpy and unwilling to do things. I’ve made some really good friends and met some really nice people through Keith’s courses and training sessions.
I do feel a bit too old for all the attention in the office though!
Jenny, 54 Hemel
My Names Jenny and I’m 54, I live in Hemel. On the Absolute Training PN course I lost a stone in the 6 weeks, my blood pressure dropped enough for me to reduce my medication and it gave me the energy to start doing Personal Training.
This is me last year on the top of Snowdon, something that I would not have thought possible before meeting Keith and the team.
This nutrition course opened my eyes to nutrition and how what we are told is not always true and does not make sense and yet we believe it.
I can’t recommend it enough, learn a new way of looking at your diet and your health and get the results that you have been promised.

Hi Keith and Clare,
I have been trying to think of very clever and witty things to say for you to put on the website. However, I have come to the conclusion that there is a reason I am not a writer by profession so will simply say how I “feel” about boot camp.
As you know, I have tried personal training, running, gym, etc… All in an effort to become more fit. When I heard about your boot camp from Annabel, I was interested because she seemed to enjoy it so much but still be getting a good work out.
The assessment was amazing and my shoulder is still pain free. Who would have thought that 2 simple stretches would have such an instant effect? I looked at the website and was inspired by the attitude of all of you. No matter how I feel when I wake up, I look forward to going to boot camp because I know I will be in a better mood after. So many of my friends say they admire my dedication but it is not dedication really. I honestly feel guilty if I am not there and feel better for having gone…it is really a no brainer.
I love the fact that each time I walk through the door, I have NO IDEA what I will be doing that day. It is so refreshing not to do the same old things every single time. It is very hard but also so much fun at the same time. I can tell a difference in my body as well as my attitude. Your energy is contagious and while I love to complain, I wouldn’t miss my sessions for anything.
Thank you all so much for making exercise something I look forward to!
See you tomorrow!

Quite simply, the Absolute Training Team of Keith, Clare and Amy are just brilliant. If like me, you loathe gyms full of Lycra clad beauties – come to Boot Camp and be trained by a team who really care about YOU and what YOU are trying to achieve. You will sweat more than you have ever sweated before, and yes, at first you will ache like never before BUT, within three weeks I have re-discovered muscles that had been lost to me since childbirth some 14 years ago!!!!
The motivation which you get from them is amazing – it is friendly, great fun, very hard work but so worth it. I’ve met some really genuinely great people and I absolutely love coming to every session.

Angie White
Hey there.. My name is Angie and it’s been a couple of months since i bumped into Keith in town and he asked “How would you like to get fit?” It didn’t take long for me to answer because I had been waiting for that moment for a few months….
My journey started in September 2008 when I decided to finally do something about my weight for ME! 1 year later I had lost 4 stone and was so chuffed with myself but very hungry, de-motivated and the weight just wasn’t coming off anymore. I new i needed to tone up and start the home straight to get me to my goal weight but the gym just didn’t keep me motivated and sometimes had the opposite effect with regards to my eating habits.
So back to now.. I’ve been going to Bootcamp for 7 weeks and I luv it! I’ve made some great friends and they have a nack for making me laugh even when I’m working my socks off.. I’ve lost another half a stone but more than anything have started seeing my body shape change (for the better!). It doesn’t matter what shape, size or fitness level you are, everyone is there to support each other, have fun and burn those calories. It really feels like we’re all in it together!
I can’t thank Keith, Clare, Amy and all my friends at Bootcamp enough for helping me in so many ways..
See you all tomorrow guys!
Angie
