I have found time and time again that a few simple rules and adjustments to peoples diets can make a massive difference. It’s time you knew what’s holding you back!
Fat loss is not about the number of hours that you spend on the treadmill, bike or cross trainer. It’s about carefull combinations of specific cardio (calorie burning, heart and lung training), and specific weight training, (movements that boost your metabolism and regulate your blood sugar).
Weight loss is not just about diet or just about exercise. It is a combination of both plus the right goal setting, support and coaching strategies. People have emotional ties to food or limiting beliefs. You’ll be suprised at how a simple phrase said to you as a child can have such an influence on your health and weight through out the rest of your life!
Low calorie diet’s don’t work. Many of my clients have been increadably relieved to find that they can ditch the calorie or points counting. We won’t let you use bad training technique!
Not only is poor technique INEFFECTIVE it’s also dangerous. It’s possible to do irreversable damage to your body if
your form is bad. I hate wandering round gym, as I see potentially crippling techniques and not a gym instructor or personal trainer insight ready to intervene, build trust and a relationship and correct the members technique!

Let me share with you something that makes me sick. I absolutely hate walking into a gym and seeing personal trainers standing beside the running machine while their clients walk, jog or run and the Personal Trainer is either on their phone, watching the TV or looking at other lycra clad members.

I know how hard food conversations with the clients can be because I have had sooo many and avoided so many over the years. I personally have and have watched fitness trainers, personal trainers and nutritional consultants avoid food disscusion or have not given real answers when talking about diet plans and why you are not getting the results that you were promissed.
I don’t blame them, diet and nutrition are such complicated subjects. If the personal trainer or consultant does not know how to match you with a diet that is suited to your genectics then your always going to yoyo and will never feel fully satisified with your food. If all your food decisions are made around calories and points then again you are setting yourself up for long term failure.
The same old boring workout
Did you know, a workout routine will only get you good results for the 2 or 3 weeks? I hate seeing personal trainers giving people the same routines week in week out! I also feel real bad for those people who go in to the gym and do the same workout everytime hoping that it will give them results in the end.
It won’t they are wasting their time, the gym team just hasn’t had the balls to go up to them and tell them yet or the personal trainers are to far up their own backsides thinking that they should charge you for sharing their health and fitness expertise. Personaly, I’m more likely to buy of someone who I have spoken to, feel I have a relationship with and have spent time building trust with me.
I never do the same workout with a weight loss clients twice. This way you never plateau, you wont get bored and you can look forward to the workout everytime!

Over the last 10 years or so the biggest decovery that I have made is that we are all different (I know, shock horror you could have told me that just by looking across the room!), but what I’m saying here is that what works for one person does not necessarily work for the another.
